20.2.2016 Man treated for smoke inhalation after house fire


Fire crews from Dewsbury were called to the property on Hyrst Grove, Batley. 

The man was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation and was taken to hospital.

A West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said the blaze was started by an electrical malfunction.

Oxygen therapy was administered by fire service personnel and the man was transferred to hospital by ambulance.

No smoke detection was installed in the property.

 2 fire appliances from Dewsbury attended the scene.
