8th September 2015 150 Passengers Evacuated from Warwick Train Fire
A train carrying 150 people was evacuated when a fire started underneath a carriage at Warwick Parkway railway station.
Shocked passengers were forced to evacuate the six-carriage London Midland train after thick smoke began pouring through the carriages.
The fire had started in the running gear of one of the rear carriages, said Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service.
Engineers for train provider London Midland are investigating and replacement bus services are in place.
Francis Thomas, for London Midland, said the train was in the station when the fire alarm went off.
"I'm glad to say all the automatic fire systems kicked in immediately."
